Cherry Blossoms
Spring is always the most refreshing season! After a long, cold winter, seeing colors and growth emerge from the trees and flowers stirs my affections for Jesus. Plus, the air smells heavenly and we can finally spend all day outside! The other day, I took the girls to the park and brought my camera. I bribed them with yogurt covered raisins and playground time if we took some photos first. They're such good sports and I LOVE this mini session with my girls! The best Mother's Day gift is getting photos of them all smiling!

Edith's dedication
This weekend we dedicated our baby Edith to the Lord in front of our church family. We are prayerfully committing to raise her, with God's help, in a way that demonstrates am example of Godliness, discipline her according to God's ways and prayerfully train her in God's teachings until she can make a decision on her own to follow God. We took some sister photos at a greenery this weekend. The girls weren't all that excited about it haha. You win some and you lose some. They are, however, super duper excited about their new pink and purple plants haha.

Easter
We had a lovely Easter this year. It is the most precious holiday to celebrate because we LOVE Jesus Christ! It was a joy to teach the girls about why we celebrate Easter and to hear Vivi re-tell the story in her own words is just precious! "We have Easter because Jesus died (frowny face). BUT He is still alive now! Cus He loves us! (jumping in excitement)." Pretty adorable! And she reminded me of the simplicity of it all. Amazing how easy it is for a child to comprehend and accept, yet as an adult I find myself wrestling with theology I don't understand, feeling inadequate and unequipped to accept the free gift the Lord gave us and to share it with others. But it really is as simple as Vivi said. Jesus died. He is now ALIVE! And he did it because He loved us. He died for us. A wonderful and amazing truth! Praise the Lord for Easter!
We had a simple day. Auntie Stacey went to church with us. We went to pizza for lunch with friends. We all took an awesome afternoon nap haha. And then the girls had their first egg hunt. One of my favorite perks of owning a home is having a YARD! While it's not quite warm enough to enjoy all the time, I am longing for hours and hours of fresh air and sunshine! Since it was a bit chilly, we hid a couple Reese's chocolate eggs and one big egg for each girl. It lasted about 5 mins and Vivi was very sweet in helping Lulu and making sure they had the same number. They girls were pretty thrilled to find pink flamingo nightgowns inside the big egg. Such sweeties.... we love them!

Lulu didn't have the unwrap the candy concept quite down and ate the foil haha
And we found our first little green surprises growing in our yard! I wonder what they'll be!?

My little squirts
The forecast said highs in the sixties all week. That's about sixty degrees warmer than previous weeks. This is what we call the heavenly Minnesota warm-up. When overnight the snow disappears, birds begin to chirp, and everyone EVERYONE goes outside. We moved into our home just as everything died and a cold frost set in and the world became grey and brown and snowy white. So I knew we needed to celebrate this glorious weather with a mini photo session and a fun treat (because honestly how else am I going to get a 2 and 1 year old to sit still and not go crazy while I snap a few shots!). I thought they'd enjoy the soda, which they did. But of course it lasted only a few minutes before all the soda spilled, Vivi was up dancing and jumping and Lulu was running around laughing. I love my crazy girls. We have our own special chaos.
