Vivienne turns 4!

Vivienne is FOUR! We celebrated her birthday according to her request: "A super hero birthday party and for all my friends to wear masks and capes!" It was adorable! I love making our girls feel incredibly special and overly loved for their birthdays. We plan their party together. We brainstorm ideas, decorate the house, and make treats together.  We had a fun morning of playing and chatting. The kids decorated super hero arms cuffs (gold spray painted Starbucks sleeves), colored coloring book pages, play bean bag toss, opened gifts, and ate a lot of cake! It was a very good morning. My little extroverts cried when it was over because they loved having so many friends over!

Lucielle's First Birthday Party

I'm only over a month late in sharing these photos, but better than never! I love that Lulu's birthday is in the summer because we were able to go to our favorite local park and have her party there. Viv now calls this park "Lulu's birthday park" and even yelled at some people having a picnic at the tables because "That's my sissy's birthday party! No!" haha. Lucielle had an ice-cream themed first birthday. She hasn't ever had a food she doesn't like, but she LOVED when she tried ice-cream so it seemed perfect. I found the cute yellow cardboard stand from IKEA and put yellow duct tape over the existing red and green stripes. The marqee light "1" I made for Vivienne's first birthday. The large hanging ice-cream cones are paper lanterns with cones attached to the bottom. I baked cupcakes in ice-cream cones and frosted them with sprinkles to look like ice-cream cones. It was a fun little party with friends and family. The weather just barely cooperated enough for us to enjoy the playground, BBQ, and treats. What a fun day to celebrate our little lovie Lulu!
Poor Isaac. Lulu pinched his nose right before this haha.
Showing off her belly and where all that sugar was going!

Shiny Heart 2nd Birthday

It all started several months ago. Viv and I were shopping and we came across this shiny gold heart sweatshirt dress. Viv fell in love. Like SUPER in love! It became her favorite outfit the second I put in on her and she looked in the mirror and said, "Love it! Hiney Shart!" I died laughing! Ever since then, "hiney sharts" were all the rage for Vivi. Anytime she saw a glittery heart, she simply had to have it! When she was potty training and was a little reluctant to take her first poo, a shiny heart shirt was all the incentive she needed. When she is slowly dawdling through getting ready in the morning, all I'd have to say was, "Want to wear a shiny heart?" and she'd come running to get ready in a frenzy.

So when her second birthday was fast approaching, I knew she would be THRILLED to have a shiny heart birthday party with friends. We did the party at a dear friends home. There were about 11 kids under the age of 5! We had PB&J heart sandwiches, candy, fruit, and mini cupcakes with shiny heart toppers. We did a craft making a caterpillar out of paper hearts. Everyone got a baggie of heart shaped crayons as a party favor. We opened some really fun gifts. And, my favorite part, we had a shiny heart photo booth with props! Super fun! I still can't believe she's TWO!
