14 weeks
Baby Bird is the length of a lemon now. He/she is growing & developing so fast! It's been really fun to work our way through the produce section of the grocery store.
Hooray for second trimester! It really does seem that overnight I have gotten back to my regular self. I didn't realize how "off" I was feeling, until I started feeling more like me. I would describe my first trimester as "foggy". I was so sleepy and easily confused. And now the fog has lifted for the most part. Yay! I have actually cleaned our home AND cooked dinner every night this week! I even made chicken, which used to gross me out.
My mommy is here for a visit! This could be contributing to my boost in energy and motivation. We're such a team. I love that I cook dinner, and she does the dishes. We've been going for long walks every morning in the crisp fall weather, drinking (decaf) coffee and chatting about everything. We also had a traditional girls date with Stacey at Caribou Coffee where we played a game called Nurtz. We've been dreaming about Baby Bird and whether or not it's a boy or girl. And we've been talking about how the next time Mom comes to Minnesota for a visit, it will be April and she'll be days away from becoming a Grandma again! Wow!
