Minnesota State Fair

The State Fair was a few weeks ago. We live across the street (literally!) from the fairgrounds, so when the fair rolls around we have mixed feelings. On one hand, we love how easy it is to go visit. On the other hand, lots of traffic, loud fireworks after the kids bedtime, and fair "smells" aren't a big plus. So Brian wasn't all the keen on the idea of going to visit this year. But Grandma was! So we took the little ones and had a girls morning at the fair! It was so fun. Viv especially loved it! The first thing we got when we walked in was a bubble gun. Thanks Grandma! Seriously the best purchase of the day. Sweet Vivi walked around all day shooting bubbles and saying hi to people. She was a hit. Of course we had to eat fair staples like pronto pups, mini donuts, milk shakes, fried pickles, Sweet Martha's cookies and Dole whip ice-cream... basically the worst and yummiest food ever haha. We also saw a baby pig being born, pet a baby cow, saw lots of horses, rabbits, chickens and cows. Viv walked pretty much the whole time which was really impressive. I think it was the sugar energy boost. They both crashed HARD as soon as we got home. It was a fun fun day! Thanks Grandma!
