9 Months!

I have always thought 9 months was a fun milestone. Lucielle has officially been out in the world as long as she was in my tummy! Wow! It's amazing to think of how creatively the Lord ordained life to come about. I cherish every memory of being pregnant with my girls. Each had it's share of difficulties, but were filled with so much joy! And that tiny kicking, squirming baby that was once in my tummy for 9 months has now been in my arms for 9 months! Ooooo we just love her!

At 9 months:
  • Lulu learned to clap her hands. So. Stinking. Adorable!!! And sometimes she will say "Yay!" while doing it... first word (?)
  • Lulu also loves to do "Soooo big!". Also. So. Stinking. Adorable!!!
  • Lucielle has become a MUCH better sleeper. She goes down at 7 pm, and usually sleeps until 5 or 6 when she eats and then sleeps until 8am. Now, if only I could get Viv to sleep past 6:30...
  • She is trying to drop her third nap. This is a day by day thing. Some days her afternoon nap lasts until 3:30 or 4 and she can make it until bedtime. Other days, she only naps from 1-3 and then needs either another mini nap before dinner or an outing to majorly distract her.
  • She currently has her two bottom (razer sharp) teeth and is days away from cutting a top tooth. No more gummy smiles :(
  • Lulu is like a tree. She dig roots wherever you plant her. She will sit in the same place and play contently. She seems to have no desire to get mobile haha. She would rather whine for us to bring her toys that to go after them herself. She detests being on her stomach mostly because she only scoots backwards which is counter productive to where she wants to go, thus making her mad. She also has no interest in pulling up to stand or walking while holding our hands. I swear in a few months, out of nowhere, she's just going to get up and bust a move!
  • Lucielle is getting more outgoing. The past few times we've been out at Church, or Target or Starbucks (other than the library, that's about the only places I go haha) she smiles like crazy or coos to get people's attention. Then she claps when they look. Maybe we will end up with two crazy little extroverts like their Papa?
  • Lulu has mastered the pincer grasp and revels in feeding herself. Her favorites include: cheese, grapes, blueberries, and chicken. She eats more that her sister who is going through a picky phase. But looking at the girls, that's no surprise.
  • Lu LOVES drinking water from a straw. She lunges for it! Maybe I should put a cup with a straw on the ground in front of her for tummy time and see if that is the motivation she needs.
  • Vivienne is her favorite person and still gets the biggest smiles and laughs out of her.
  • Lucielle wears mostly 12-18 months sized clothes but can share some of Viv's 2T now!

 SOOOOO Big!
"Mom! Vivi is photo-bombing my photo session!"
