Our Christmas Surprise! Baby Bird #2 is due in Aug! We were surprised, but are more than excited. We were blessed to be able to tell both of our families IN PERSON on Christmas Eve. Since my parents live in CA, that was pretty awesome! And of course everyone can't wait! Since Brian and I got married on 08.08.08, we decided what better place to take some photos of me at 8 weeks along and Vivienne at 8 months than where we took some engagement photos... a garage door with an 8 painted on it! We ended up framing one of these pictures to tell Brian's family about the new baby.
My dad flew in to MN on Christmas Eve. So when we returned home after celebrating with Brian's family, my parents and sister met us. When they walked in the door, there were four stockings hanging above the fireplace and a chalkboard drawing announcing the baby. And they STILL took a few minutes to get it! So funny! It was rough to spend an entire week with my mom and sister without being able to tell them! Especially since I was exhausted and nauseous! I just really wanted to wait for my Dad to be there too!
